Surfite Heart and Sterling Silver Pendant Necklace - Multicolored - Handmade
This colorful Surfite heart is surrounded by a scalloped bezel setting. It hangs from an 18" inch sterling silver chain with a lobster clasp. If you prefer a longer or shorter chain, let me know in the comments when you purchase. Chains over 20" will incur an additional charge of $2/inch.
Surfite is a byproduct of the creation of surfboards. These "gemstones" are created from the colorful hardened layers of excess resin that pools on the floor under a surfboard during creation. As the resin hardens and builds up beneath the table, it is chipped away and used by lapidary artists to create beautiful upcycled/recycled stones.
Please note that this is handmade item using natural and/or recycled materials and, as such, may contain minor imperfections. That's the beauty of not buying mass-produced jewelry, though -- you get a one-of-a-kind piece! All of my sterling silver pieces are packaged in their own muslin bag and have a silver polishing cloth included.
